Why do I get 403 Forbidden when I run a cgi script?

You must make sure you have changed the permission on your script before you run it. The permissions must be set to EXECUTABLE (CHMOD to 755).

As every ftp package does it differently, we cannot help you make it executable. Note, some ftp packages can't even make it executable as they weren't programmed to. In that scenario, download a new ftp package.
